Angela Libutti graduated with full marks from the University of Basilicata (Italy). She earned her Ph.D. in Crop Production at the University of Basilicata (Italy). She works as an Associate Professor in Agronomy and Field Crops at Foggia University (Italy). Her scientific interests include: (1) the application of biochar from agro-industrial residues and by-products to agricultural soil as a means to increase soil fertility and crop productivity and mitigate climate change; (2) the sustainability of crop systems with reference to the reuse of non-conventional water (wastewater and saline water) for crop irrigation; (3) monitoring groundwater and soil salinization processes on the farm and land scale; and (4) monitoring groundwater and irrigation water pollution processes for contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).
