Dr. Emilio Garcia-Fernandez received his PhD in Chemistry in 2010 at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Seville (Spain). From 2012 to 2015, he was a postdoctoral fellow of the Science and Technology Foundation (FCT, Portugal) at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of Lisbon (Portugal). Currently, he is a lecturer at the Department of Physical Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Granada (Spain). His research interests cover photochemistry, photophysics and related fields of physical chemistry, and include the development of fluorescence sensors for biomedical, nanotechnological and food applications, employing time-resolved fluorescence techniques as FLIM and PLIM.
