Dr. Avila, Assistant Professor at Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering- University of La Laguna (ULL), graduated from the University of Matanzas, Cuba in Mechanical Engineering. A Ph.D. was achieved in "Applications of Maritime Engineering", at the University of La Laguna, Spain, 2013.
He belongs to the INGEMAR research group, specializing in different research fields such as: renewable energies, desalination, predictive maintenance, etc. He participates as a researcher in different projects in collaboration with different universities and research organizations.
His research work has been carried out mainly within the field of engineering and has resulted in the publication of articles in international scientific journals, many of them indexed in JCR. He has fifteen contributions in scientific congresses.
