Victoria HJ Roberts is an Associate Professor in the Division of Developmental and Reproductive Sciences at the Oregon National Primate Research Center, Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). Her overall research objective is to understand the developing placenta. Within this area of research, she utilizes both in vivo and in vitro methods to investigate placental function. She received her B.S. at the University of Reading and her Ph.D. at the University of Manchester in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Then, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cincinnati in 2008. She is also a member of the International Federation of Placenta Association, the Developmental Origins of Adult Disease Society, and the Society for Reproductive Investigation. Her research interests include placental physiology, developmental biology, in vitro model systems (e.g., trophoblast organoids, cell culture, and explants), and in vivo imaging (e.g., ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging).
