Dr. Dimitrios Katsanos is Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Environmental Research and Sustainable Development, National Observatory of Athens, Greece. He holds PhD (University of Patras, Greece) and M.Sc. degree (University of Athens, Greece) in Meteorology and Environmental Physics and Degree in Physics (University of Athens, Greece). His scientific interests include the research areas of Precipitation science, Numerical Weather Prediction models, Climatology of Precipitation, Extreme Weather Events, and Meteorological Hazards including Thunderstorms and Lightning. He is a Guest Editor for Remote Sensing (MDPI).
