Information

Dr. Oksana Lastochkina is a Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Biochemistry and Genetics (IBG), Ufa Federal Research Centre, Russian Academy of Sciences (UFRC RAS) located in Ufa, Russia. Senior Scientist of the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Plant Stress Resistance UFRC RAS. She obtained her PhD degree in 2011 from the IBG, UFRC RAS. Her research focuses on plant stress physiology/biochemistry and the use of natural growth regulators (PGPB, Bacillus subtilis, salicylic acid, and jasmonic acid) to induce stress resistance/tolerance in plants. Currently, her work is centered on studying the physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms of endophytic B. subtilis-induced plant development and its response to drought and salinity. Dr. Lastochkina has authored over 80 research articles.
