Dr. Xiang Yang is a Tenure-Track Associate Professor at the School of Arts and Communication, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). His research specializes in landscape planning and design, landscape planning and ecological restoration, as well as urban and landscape ecology. His work focuses on the mechanisms and ecological effects of blue-green spaces on urban thermal environments and air pollution, with an emphasis on their spatial differentiation within Local Climate Zones. He has conducted research on the independent and interactive effects of land cover types on thermal environments and air pollution, the cooling effects of blue-green spaces across different Local Climate Zones, heat risk, and the networks of heat islands and cold islands.
