Prof. Dr. Nicolas Martin is a Full Professor of Materials Science at the National Engineering School ENSMM, where he has been since 2000. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Franche-Comté in 1997 and his habilitation degree from the same university in 2005. His research focuses on metallic and ceramic thin films prepared by reactive sputtering and nanostructuration of coatings using Glancing Angle Deposition (GLAD). Prof. Martin has held visiting research positions at the University of Uppsala, Sweden, and the University of Alberta, Canada. He previously led the MINAMAS team and served as Deputy Director of the MN2S research department at the FEMTO-ST Institute.
