Ileana Rău is a Present Professor at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. She was a Chemical Engineer at S.C. PROCELIA S.A. Brasov from 1994 to 1996, a fulltime Ph.D. student at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 1996 to 1997, an Assistant Professor at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 1997 to 2001, a Lecturer at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2001 to 2009, and an Associate Professor at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2009 to 2014. She studied at the University POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Faculty of Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Division, from 1989 to 1994. She obtained a Master's degree at the University POLITEHNICA Bucharest, with a specialization in applied thermodynamics and electrochemistry from 1994 to 1995. She obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry at the University POLITEHNICA Bucharest in 2002, a D.Sc. (HDR ‐ Habilite de Diriger des Recherches) in physics at the University of Angers, France, in 2007, and a D.Sc.
