Luca Mantecchini received his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2000, and his PhD in Transportation Engineering in 2004. After a period as a research fellow, he joined the university as an Assistant Professor in 2005, and was later promoted to Associate Professor. His research topics mainly include transport sustainability, airport planning and development, simulation of transportation network under disruptions, simulation of airport operations, and optimization of healthcare logistics networks.
