Dr. Cristina Torres-Fuentes is an expert in the field of gut microbiota and bioactive compounds including peptides and polyphenols. She did her PhD at the CSIC, Spain, and was a Postdoc at the APC Microbiome Institute, Cork, Ireland (2012-2017) and UC Davis, California, USA (2017-2018). Currently, she is a senior lecturer at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain. She studies the interaction of the intestinal microbiota with biological rhythms and the activity of bioactive compounds in metabolic syndrome.
