Dr. Serafeim C. Chaintoutis is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Teaching Staff member at the Diagnostic Laboratory/School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece. He graduated from AUTh, and completed his PhD in WNV evolutionary genetics, disease prevention in equines, and laboratory diagnostics at the same institution. He also holds an MSc in Infectious Diseases and International Medicine from the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh). His research interests focus on all fields of veterinary laboratory diagnostics, including clinical biochemistry and microbiology, and laboratory immunology and hematology, and has extensive experience in infectious diseases, determination of immune respones and deveopment and validation of diagnostic assays.
