Dr. Bożena Szczucka-Lasota is a Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. Her main interests are new materials and civil engineering, as well as transportation structures and new technology (welding and thermal spraying). She received her Doctor of Science in 2004, a habilitation in 2017, and her current post as Professor in 2018. She has been the author of 310 articles and has promoted four Doctors of Science. She has participated in many international research projects and has four patents.
