Prof. Ciro Abbondanza currently works in the Department of Precision Medicine at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in Naples, Italy. He completed a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery from the First Medical School, University of Naples "Federico II" in Naples, Italy in 1985. His research interests mainly focus on PRDM genes, steroid receptors, and cancers. His scientific output includes 61 publications in various journals with an h-index of 27 (Scopus, April 2024). He is the Guest Editor of the journals IJMS and IJERPH. He is also the reviewer for the following journals: Journal of Translational Medicine and NPJ Precision Oncology.
