Urška Fekonja, MSc in Health and Social Management, is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Maribor, Slovenia, and currently works as a registered nurse in the emergency triage department at the University Medical Centre Maribor. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Health and Social Management at the University of Maribor, where her research focuses emergency nursing, triage systems, advanced nursing practice, nursing competencies, and patient care quality. During her studies, she participated in an Erasmus clinical training programme at the University of Madeira, Portugal, gaining experience in psychiatric and surgical nursing care and emergency medicine. In addition to her clinical and research activities, she mentors nursing students in the preparation of undergraduate and master’s thesis projects in the field of healthcare and nursing. She has actively participated in international conferences and professional projects and has received several recognitions, including the Slovenian Government Award for dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
