I am particularly interested in understanding the environmental causes of population change, and in using data from seabirds to improve our knowledge of the marine environment. Documenting and predicting how current and future climate change may affect marine top predators is a special focus of my research, requiring collaboration with researchers working at other trophic levels. I use long-term ecological data and sophisticated statistical techniques to achieve these aims. Converting scientific results into practical management advice is also part of my approach.
