Duc-Kien Thai is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Thai received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Hanoi University of Civil and Engineering, Vietnam, and his Ph.D. from Sejong University, South Korea. Prior to joining Sejong University in early 2016, he was a lecturer and vice-dean of the Department of Civil Engineering, Vinh University, Vietnam. He has about 20 years’ experience in teaching and working as a structural engineer and construction supervisor. As a researcher, he has been involved in many research projects and published many high-ranking journal papers, conferences papers, and textbooks.
