Prof. Quanling Xie is a Senior Engineer and a Master Supervisor at the Third Institute of Oceanography. His research interests include high-value development and utilization technology of marine biological resources, membrane separation technology, water treatment, and seawater desalination technology. He has undertaken or participated as the main technical backbone in more than 30 national, provincial, and municipal scientific research projects. He has obtained 12 authorized invention patents and developed more than 10 national standard samples as the main finisher. He was selected as a high-level talent in Fujian Province (Category C) and has won second prize for marine innovation achievements from the State Oceanic Administration and second prize for the China Marine Engineering Science and Technology Award. He was the Master Supervisor of Fuzhou University, Jimei University, and Shanghai Ocean University.
