Jesús Carlos Pedraza-Ortega received a B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the Celaya Institute of Technology, Mexico; an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the FIMEE, Universidad de Guanajuato; and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He is a full-time Professor in the Engineering Faculty at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Mexico. He has been a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) since 2004 and the Mexican Science Academy (AMC) since 2007. His research interests include machine vision, 3D reconstruction, image processing, and deep and machine learning.
