Dr. Songchao Chen is currently a Young Professor at Zhejiang University, China (since 2025). He obtained his PhD degree inAgrocampus Ouest and INRAE, France (2019) and worked as a postdoc researcher in INRAE (2020-2021), P.I. at ZJU-Hangzhou GlobalScientific and Technological Innovation Center, Zheijang University (2021-2024). His research mainly focuses on digital soil mappingproximal soil sensing, and soil biogeochemical modeling. He has authored/co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles in Earth System Science Data, Geoderma, Soil and Tillage Research, CATENA, etc. He received the IUSS Dan Yaalon Young Scientist Medal (2022) and the IUSS Best Paper in Pedometrics award (2019), and he is recognized as one of Stanford/Elsevier's Top 2% Scientists (2023 and 2024).
