Shiqiang Chen is a Professor, PhD, Doctoral Supervisor, and Expert Reviewer for national and provincial natural science funds. A member of the Expert Database for Work Safety and Emergency Management in Hunan Province and an editorial board member for coal mine safety, his research primarily focuses on ventilation and air conditioning in underground spaces, air purification, and energy-saving equipment. He has presided over one general project of the National Natural Science Fund, three projects of the Hunan Natural Science Fund, two key/excellent youth projects of the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, and more than ten enterprise cooperation research projects, with total research funding reaching USD 2 million. In addition to publishing over 80 papers in domestic and international journals, he holds 17 domestic invention patents and 2 PCT invention patents as the first inventor. His research achievements have won first-place awards for scientific and technological progress in Hunan Province and in the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, as well as second-place awards for scientific and technological progress in Hunan Province and in Shandong Province.
