Satheeskumar Navaratnam is a lecturer in the School of Engineering at RMIT University. He earned his MSc in steel construction engineering at the University of Sheffield in 2010 and completed his Ph.D. studies in Civil and structural engineering at James Cook University in 2016. He was a research fellow of the Department of Infrastructure Engineering, University of Melbourne (2018–2019), and he came to RMIT University as a lecturer in 2019. He has been a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia since 2018. He works in the areas of structural timber framing, prefabricated building and mass timber construction systems followed by individual joint tests, full-scale tests, fire tests, wind tunnel model analysis and computational fluid dynamic and finite element models.
