I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Chemistry in 2012 from Instituto Superior Técnico - Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, with the highest mark Pass with Distinction. A short-term stay at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Germany, led to the acknowledgment of my Ph.D. thesis with a European honour. From 2013 to 2018, I did a Postdoc in Chemistry at Centro de Química Estrutural of the Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal, focusing my research work on the synthesis and characterization of biologically relevant azarings. By the end of 2018, I got a Researcher position at the Associação do Instituto Superior Técnico para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento, Portugal, for the development of novel compounds for biological applications.
