Yankun Ma received his Ph.D. degree in Safety Science and Engineering from the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in 2020. He undertakes postdoctoral research at the China Coal Research Institute, with a specialization in rock mechanics, geophysics and chemistry, and numerical modelling. Recently, his research interests include rock dynamic disaster prevention and control technology. The aim of his research is to mitigate coal burst risk and establish early-warning methodologies.
