The combination of straight lines of constructive elements and curved contours of structural shapes is always challenging in the engineering practice. The 2nd order surface - elliptic hyperboloid of one sheet (ELHY) provides such combination. Given that in the architectural surroundings, arts, or other scientific fields ELHY is less common, than the other representatives of the same family of ruled surfaces, it is worth of attention and research. Here presented constructive geometry approach resulted in Auto CAD application for generating 3D wire-frame and triangulated net model of ELHY surface and some examples of structures - prototypes of structural shapes, designed by using ELHY fragments.

Serbian medieval architectural heritage is notable for its sacred architecture including numerous Christian Orthodox churches built at the territory of former Raška state during the period from the 12th to the 14th centuries. Built in the so-called Raška architectural style, characterized by overlapping features of Romanesque and Byzantine traditions, two monuments—the church of the Mother of God in Studenica monastery complex and the church of Holy Dormition in Žiča monastery complex, are exquisite sacred structures and cultural monuments of exceptional importance. They are also remarkable due to geometric-proportional regularities of their design. This paper highlights the importance of geometric concept in relation to proportional analysis of these two structures. Here presented study is conducted by two means: first one—by investigating geometric scheme with equilateral triangles, incorporated into the layout and cross section patterns of each church structure; the second one—by classical proportioning that includes proportional roots, golden section and numeric ratios.

Две хиљадугодишње светске и европске културе, Винчанска и Лепенски вир, су нашле своје уточиште на обали реке Дунав, од којих је Винча у непосредној близини града Београда. Дунав је од давнина представљао свету реку и извор живота за народе који су живели на њеним обалама. Београд тиме носи део карактера ова два цивилизацијска и духовна средишта, повезана другом реком по величини у Европи. Велики број подземних водотокова и термалних извора Београда је укључен у дунавски слив. Ове везе су данас слабије уочљиве због урбаног развоја града. Имена изворишта и правци њихових токова, указују на могућу повезаност са местима градње богомоља (цркве, или манастири). О њима нема много података, због значајног протока времена (још пре османских освајања). Једно од посебних места - извориште Бибијиног потока, у центру Београда, везано је за ранохришћанску свету мученицу Вивијан (Бибијан) страдалу 362 године у Риму изабрано је за студију случаја у контексту шире теме. Рад се бави и одговорима на питања зашто је овај лековити извор из времена Рима и Османлија, у урбаном делу старог Београда, понео име светитељке. Рад такође наговештава да слично овом изворишту, Славујев поток, Врачарски поток, Вилине воде и сл. упућују на постајање других духовних средишта/објеката на територији града Београда.

One of the quality requirements of thermal imaging devices used in surveillance systems and in forensics refers to the assessment of its capabilities in relation to remote detection, recognition and identification of far-off objects of interest. This paper discusses the concept of spatial frequency and compares the estimated values of the nominal static characteristics of the range based on the measurement of the characteristics of a thermal imaging camera according to standard methods (MRTD - Minimum Resolvable Temperature Difference, MDTD - Minimum Detectable Temperature Difference, TOD - Triangle Orientation Discrimination) on an arbitrarily chosen thermal imaging camera.
