Dr Barbara Mendrek graduated from the University of Opole in 2003 and obtained the Ph. D. from this University in 2010. Currently, she works in the Centre of Polymer and Carbon Materials of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the Laboratory of Nano and Microstructural Materials as Assistant Professor. The scientific interests of Dr Mendrek concern the synthesis of functional polymers, especially star polymers, and characterization of their physicochemical properties, self-organization in solutions and grafting on the surfaces. Barbara Mendrek is a member of the Polish Chemical Society and a project beneficiary from National Science Center.
