David Zabala-Blanco received a BSc degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from Escuela Militar de Ingenieria, La Paz, Bolivia, in 2011, and MSc and PhD degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico, in 2014 and 2018, respectively. During
2017, he was in a research stay by working on the project FONDECYT Iniciacion No. 11160517 (analysis, design, and implementation of Nyquist pulses in OFDM next-generation wireless communication systems) at the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. He is currently a postdoc at the Universidad Catoica del Maule. His research interests include OFDM-based systems, optical communications, Nyquist-I pulses, and extreme learning machines.
