Professor Yunbo Shi is mainly engaged in research on microsensors measuring gas, temperature, humidity, meteorology, piezoelectricity, magnetism, water quality, soil, biology, etc., as well as scientific research on sensor detection information systems and wireless sensor network systems. He has undertaken more than 30 projects for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, provinces, cities, and enterprises. The main doctoral courses he teaches include MEMS Microsystem Design, Introduction to Instrument Science and Technology, and Frontier Research in Instrument Science and Technology.
