Dr. Satyabrata Nanda has a Ph.D. in biotechnology with a specialization in plant protection. He received the Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for research at China National Rice Research Institute. His research is primarily focused on plant protection by using functional genomics and targeted genome engineering. He has received grants from different funding agencies, including the Science and Engineering Research Board and Zhejiang Provincial Grant, and honors, such as “Certificate of Excellence”, “Eminent Achiever Award”, “Excellent Performer Award”, and “Young Scientist Award”, for his research excellence. He has published more than 50 articles in several journals of international repute. Currently, he is an associate professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University, India.
