Research areas: medical informatics, neural networks, clinical decision support, semantic interoperability.
Research project:
Semantically interoperable framework for clinical decision support in personalized healthcare.
Professional activity:
In his academic work, Georgy Kopanitsa tries to make healthcare transparent for professionals and accessible for patients through digitalization. The ultimate goal is to develop a theory of analysis and synthesis of intelligent medical information systems and methods of their modeling and design.
Currently, he is focusing on the following topics:
- Standardization of medical data and treatment workflows to provide process-level interoperability,
- Clinical decision support services to analyze and predict clinical paths,
- Patient empowerment tools to allow the management and active contribution of self-observation data to increase adherence of the patients for better clinical outcomes.
