Prof. Dr. Katrin Susanne Lips. She obtained her diploma in biology 1992 at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim and performed her PhD at the University Hospital Düsseldorf about the expression and localisaton of extracellular matrix proteins after brain lesions. From 1995 to 1997 she worked as postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the Institute of Physiological Chemistry at the faculty of veterinary medicine at the Ludwig-Maximillians-University in Munich where she investigated lectins. After parental leave, she worked from 2000 to 2008 as postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Justus Liebig University of Giessen (JLU) where she performed here habilitation. Since 2008, she is the Head of the Experimental Trauma Surgery at the JLU and became in 2010 an adjunct professor.
