Dr Xianghui Zhang is a spatial data scientist and urban geographer, working at the intersection of transport, environment, and population health. He currently holds a dual appointment as Research Associate in Health and Inequalities at the University of Liverpool and Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in GeoAI at University College London. His research combines GIS, urban analytics, network science, machine learning, and causal inference to study sustainable mobility, transport equity, multimodal systems and adaptation, and environmental health inequalities. Drawing on large-scale mobile-phone data and NHS electronic health records, he generates street-level and city-wide evidence to support more sustainable, equitable, and healthy urban systems.
