Prof. Ana Maria Calderón de la Barca is a Professor at Centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo (CIAD). She received a master’s degree in 1987 from CIAD and a doctorate in 1995 from Copenhagen University in Denmark. Her research interests are (1) molecules and mechanisms
involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune and other diseases associated with wheat ingestion, as well as in the growth rate of infants and (2) the design of foods for special nutrition.
