YoungCheon Song received his Ph.D. in Pharmacy with a specialization in Clinical Pharmacy from Sahmyook University, and is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy, Sahmyook University. His research topics mainly include immunomodulation, microbiome-based therapeutics, and the pharmacological effects of natural compounds. He has published widely on host–microbiota interactions, inflammatory signaling, and exosome-based drug delivery systems. In connection with the current study on foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) virus-like particle vaccines, he provides expertise in immune response evaluation and translational pharmacology. His background in cytokine modulation and microbial immune regulation contributes to the mechanistic understanding of vaccine-induced immunity and supports the development of safer, microbiome-conscious vaccine platforms.
