Dr. Vehrs earned his doctoral degree in exercise physiology at Brigham Young University. He has taught at the University of Houston, and held joint positions as the Director of the Children’s Wellness Center at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Sports Medicine and Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Vehrs is currently at Brigham Young University where he teaches Exercise Physiology and Basic Electrocardiography. His primary areas of research interest include the measurement and prediction of cardiovascular fitness in children and adults, the validation of assessments of body composition in children and adults and measurement of blood flow using ultrasound.
