Felipe Vannucchi De Camargo is a Naval Mechanical Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande (Brazil) and the University of British Columbia (Canada), with PhDs in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and in Mechanical Engineering from the Università di Bologna (Italy) with focus on high-performance self-reinforced recycled thermoplastic composites. Specialist in structural composite materials, he has academic and industrial experience in the automotive sector, having worked in Europe on the design and manufacture of Italy's first solar-powered multi-passenger electric car; and in Brazil in the heavy-duty sector. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator at the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Polymer Engineering (Brazil), coordinating technology development projects with industries in composite materials, plastics, rubbers, adhesives, and paints; aiming to increase the competitiveness of the Brazilian industry through the development of Circular Economy, Bioeconomy and Decarbonization-driven technologies.
