Joaquin Rams is a Materials Science and Engineering full professor at the the Rey Juan Carlos University since 2009 where he has researched since 1998. He has carried out research stays at Stanford University and at the University of Sussex. He has held different responsibilities at the University, including Head of Department, and at several national and international research evaluation agencies. He has published 150 research papers with more than 4700 citations and has been included in the Stanford 2% top scientists' list. His main research topics are additive Manufacturing of metals, light alloys, biomaterials, coatings for wear, corrosion and biocompatibility and metallic and polymeric composites.
