Zhiru Sun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design, Media and Educational Science at the University of Southern Denmark. Her research sits at the intersection of educational technology, data science, and digital humanities. She studies how students and institutions engage with AI, from online collaborative and self-regulated learning to responsible AI literacy and the governance of generative AI in higher education. Her work brings together computational methods and qualitative inquiry. She holds a PhD in Educational Technology and MAs in Educational Studies and Applied Statistics from The Ohio State University.
