Biography
Delfim F. M. Torres is Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and a researcher at CIDMA (Center for Research and Development in Mathematics and Applications). He holds a PhD in Mathematics and is internationally recognized for his work in applied mathematics, systems modeling, optimal control theory, and the calculus of variations. His research interests include mathematical modeling of complex systems, optimization, and applications to engineering and life sciences.
