Introduction: The aim of the study was to analyze the changes in the indices of the autonomic nervous system and the adaptive capacity of Ukrainian Super League handball players prior to significant competitions. Material and methods: This research involved 39 handball players from the Ukrainian Super League aged 18–22 years old. The study examined the overall tone of the autonomic nervous system (ANS ) measuring electrodermal activity of the athletes. Reactivity of the ANS of players was monitored by the method of R. Baevskyy, the efficiency of competitive activity in handball was analyzed by the integral index of technical and tactical handball skills. Results: Before the competition, the reaction in the sympathoadrenal system was launched for vagotonics as the intended response to the upcoming games. The measured indicators marked mental stress and activation of the sympathoadrenal system for the sympathotonics group. The atonics group provided the emotional ground due to the balanced influence of para- and sympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system. Conclusions: The index of functional changes in all participants detected a satisfactory level of adaptation. The highest sympathetic activity was observed for atonics, the lowest – for vagotonics. The best results were documented for athletes who did not have autonomic dysfunction and those who had a slight predominance of the sympathetic component of the autonomic regulation.

Background This article delves into the intricate typological characteristics of the nervous system and temperament, exploring their profound impact on accelerating the training and enhancement of technical and tactical skills in adolescent female boxers aged 12-15 years. Situated at the crucial stage of basic training, this study illuminates how individual neurotypological traits can significantly influence the efficacy and pace of skill acquisition in young athletes. Purpose To identify individual typological features of girls aged 12-15 years in the process of boxing education at the stage of basic preparation. Material and Methods The study was attended by skilled athletes (participants, prizes, championships of regional and international tournaments, Ukrainian championships in their age groups). Boxers, which are trained using basic preparation of Children's and Youth Sports School № 1 of Melitopol. To solve the tasks, the following methods of research have been used: theoretical analysis of special and scientific literature, materials of the Internet, summarizing data, mathematical statistics. Results It has been found out that all participants of the study are the same type of nervous system that corresponds to a weak type. The results revealed varied correlations across participants, ranging from strong positive correlations to negative or negligible ones. This suggests differing levels of bilateral coordination among the athletes. Notably, two participants (P2 and P9) displayed statistically significant differences in performance between their hands. When considering the group as a whole, the overall paired t-test did not indicate a statistically significant difference in performance between the right and left hands (T-Stat = 1.6885, P-Value = 0.0945). The overall correlation across all participants was found to be relatively low (0.0889), suggesting only a slight positive linear relationship between the movements of both hands. Conclusions The technical and tactical skills, a totality of estimates of typological features of athletes, which can be divided into several blocks is appropriate to increase more informative tests for the accuracy of identifying individual typological features of athletes. These findings underscore the importance of individualized training programs in boxing, particularly for those exhibiting significant differences in hand performance or less coordinated bilateral movements. The study contributes to the understanding of physical asymmetries and coordination in young female athletes, providing a foundation for tailored training approaches to enhance their boxing skills.

The purpose of the study was to develop an optimal model of the stage of direct preparation for competitions of highly qualified multieventers in athletics and experimentally justify its effectiveness. Materials and methods. 5 highly qualified multieventers, whose sports qualification is the Master of Sports of Ukraine, participated in the pedagogical experiment. The average age of the participants was (M±SD) 25.2±1.79 years. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from literary sources; pedagogical experiment (the study was conducted from 2019 to 2021 according to the scheme of a sequential pedagogical experiment: from 2019 to 2020 - the ascertaining stage and from 2020 to 2021 - the formative stage); pedagogical observation of training and competitive activities; pedagogical testing (running 60 m from a high start, running 2 x 200 m with a rest interval of 1 min, triple jump from a standing position, throwing a ball with two hands from below on range, the running version of the PWC170(V) test was used for estimation of physical capacity and aerobic productivity of athletes); mathematical and statistical methods. Results. The total amount of training work of the studied multieventers at the stage of the formative experiment was reduced to 3148 min, compared to the ascertainment stage (4999 min), however, their intensity increased to an average of 6.11 points/min, compared to 5.72 points/min at the ascertainment stage. We managed to optimize the training process due to the developed models of microcycles at the stage of direct preparation for competitions, in which attention was focused on the leading types of each of the multieventers. Conclusions. Reducing the amount of load at the stage of direct preparation for competitions with a simultaneous increase in their intensity allowed the athletes to reach the peak of their sports form, as evidenced by the results of the main competitions of each of the athletes. The analysis of indicators of physical and functional fitness of highly qualified track and field athletes made it possible to establish that most of the results at the stage of the formative experiment improved statistically in a reliable way by an average of 2.6-6.5 %, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed 8-week model of the stage of direct preparation for the competition and allows to recommend it for practical use in the training process of multieventers at the stage of maximum fulfillment of individual capabilities.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and engaging in suffi cient physical activity contribute to the preservation of health and personal growth in young students. These issues are very relevant today for Ukrainian society, due to the long quarantine and Russian military aggression, which have signifi cantly changed the way of life of young people and limited the opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The purpose of our study was to determine the lifestyle profi le and physical activity of students in adverse ecological and psychological conditions during the war. Materials and Methods: The research, conducted over a three-year period (2021-2024), involved 84 students from three universities in Ukraine. We employed a method that involved analyzing scientifi c literature, synthesizing and systematizing the fi ndings, generalizing the results, surveying applicants (online using the Google Forms application), testing the profi le for a healthy lifestyle, and applying mathematical statistics. The results of the test showed that during the year, under the infl uence of the change in the socio-ecological state of the environment caused by military actions in Ukraine, fi ve indicators changed among students: Health Responsibilty, Physical Activity, Nutrition, Spiritual Growth, and Stress Management. The use of modifi ed and adjusted physical education methods for distance learning contributed to a gradual increase in students’ physical activity. Conclusion: It was determined that the behavioral constructs (responsibility for health, physical activity, and nutrition) and the cognitive-emotional component of young students (spiritual growth, interpersonal relationships, and stress management) were above average and changed as a result of the environmental factors and long-term military environmental factors (p≤.01). The choice of physical activity is determined by the availability of fi nancial resources, the availability of sports infrastructure, conditions for independent training at home, employment, and motivation for a healthy lifestyle. The existence of signifi cant relationships between physical activity and all indicators of a healthy lifestyle has been mathematically proven (r=.514-.796).
