Wei Song is working in the Key Laboratory of Land Surface Pattern and Simulation at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has made outstanding contributions to Land, and the journal hired him to be selected for the editorial board of the "Land" journal. He was invited to serve as Deputy Editor of the Sustainable Resource Management Journal and was responsible for the processing of relevant manuscripts. He served on the editorial board of the journal IJERPH in 2021. On 9 November 2022, his paper, "A Bibliometrics-Based Review of Urban Land Management", was selected by the editors of the journal Land for the cover of Volume 11, 2022. It was also included in the Scholarly Community Encyclopedia.
