I am a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher and AECC Fellow at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) in the Smart-Nano-Bio-Devices group (Barcelona, Spain). I also served as an Associate Part-Time Professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC). My research focuses on the intersection of nanobiotechnology, polymer chemistry, and oncology, with a particular emphasis on engineering organic nanogels, enzyme-powered nanomotors, and plasmonic nanomaterials designed to navigate complex biological barriers. As Principal Investigator of an AECC-funded initiative and multiple competitive synchrotron projects, my work explores advanced active-transport and photothermal nanosystems for cancer therapies. I hold a PhD in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials from the University of the Basque Country / POLYMAT (Spain). A chemist by training, I previously completed my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s in Nanostructured Materials at the University of Zaragoza.
