Prof Dr Wazirzada Aslam Farooq (https://fac.ksu.edu.sa/awazirzada). Dr W Aslam Farooq did his Ph.D from Imperial College London in 1992 in the field of Magneto Optical Spectroscopy using tunable dye laser and VUV laser beam. Presently he is working as Professor at Physics and Astronomy Department, King Saud University Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Dr Farooq has published 190 papers in multiple discipline in reputed ISI journals. He is organizer/member of many international conferences in Material Science. He has completed many funded projects, related to Quantum Dot Solar Cells, Synthesis and characterization of nano-materials and application of lasers in materials, spectroscopy, Bio samples, early diagnosis of cancer and early diagnoses of Red Palm Weevils. In addition, Dr Farooq is involved in development of equipment for characterization of nano materials. Dr Farooq has vast experience in laser applications and nano technology. He is co-founder of Pakistan Institute of Laser and Optics, Islamabad Pakistan. Currently he is working in laser applications, synthesis and characterization of nano-structured materials.
