Jacques Bulchand-Gidumal, Ph.D. is an Full Professor of Digital Tourism and Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Sustainable Tourism and Economic Development (TIDES) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He holds a Bachelor in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Business Administration. His research interests include: digital world, digital business models, IT-based innovation, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, sharing economy, and smart tourism. Before becoming a full-time professor, he had 10 years of experience in the private sector and 10 years in the public sector. He was a part-time teacher from 1999 to 2007 and is a full-time teacher and researcher since then.
