Paola Venditti was born in Naples, Italy, where she obtained, in the University “Federico II” of Naples, a degree in biological science, a Ph.D. in physiology, and a postdoctoral fellowship. Her current position is Associate Professor of the University of Naples “Federico II”, where she teaches general physiology and free radicals and nutrition. Her research area concerns the role played by free radicals in functional modifications of tissues in physiopathological conditions inducing tissue oxidative stress such as thyroid state alterations (induced by experimental treatment with thyroid hormones or by functional activation of the thyroid gland due to cold exposure), xenobiotic treatment, ischemia–reperfusion, and physical activity.
