Leonardo Rosa Ribeiro da Silva, BEng., MSc., and PhD, is a professor of manufacturing engineering and coordinator of the mechanical engineering course at Instituto de Desenvolvimento Educacional Avançado Ltda in Brazil. His research focuses on material behavior during the manufacturing process, with special focus on tribological interactions between the tool and the workpiece in the machining process. Has authored and co-authored more than 50 scientific papers in high-impact factor journals. He has collaborated with researchers from America, Europe, and Africa. He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing and the International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture.
