Guangsuo Yu received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from East China University of Chemical Technology in 1992, 1995, and 1998, respectively. Then, he worked at East China University of Science and Technology as a Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, and Associate Professor. Since October 2004, he has been a Professor. His research interests mainly focus on coal gasification, catalysis and reaction engineering, and flame visualization. He has won the China Youth Science and Technology Award and the Shanghai Yucai Award. He has also been recognized as a New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, and Shanghai Science and Technology Rising Star.
