Prof. Eng. Giuseppina Ambrogio is the head of the Manufacturing and Sustainability division of the Mech-Lab at DIMEG and Member of the Research and Technology Transfer Commission of the Department. She received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2005 at Università della Calabria. Since then, she has been involved in international research collaborations with other universities (Institute of Metal Forming of RWTH of Aachen, Katholieke University of Leuven, Manufacturing Research Group of OHIO State University, BTU University of Cottbus) and industrial partners (Ferrari Racing Team, CRF - Centro Ricerche Fiat, AnsaldoBreda). Prof. Ambrogio’s main research fields cover:
• Sheet metal forming processes design and optimization.
• FEM-AI hybrid approaches for process optimization.
• Lightweight design: formability analysis of lightweight materials, product design and accuracy measurement.
• Enterprise Resource Planning tool design and customization.
The main results achieved in these researches have represented the object of more than 100 scientific papers on international journals and on the proceedings of international conference.
