Dimitrios Nikolopoulos currently works at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, University of West Attica. Currently, he has 142 peer-reviewed journal publications in the fields of radiation, health and medical physics, materials science, detectors and sensors, chaos, long-memory and self-organisation of radiation-emitting environmental geo-systems (radon and EM radiation), environmental physics, and, recently, chaos and long-memory of PM10 data series. He is an Editorial member in Geosciences, Natural Hazards section. He is currently the Guest Editor in two Special Issues in Geosciences and another one in Applied Sciences. He has been Guest Editor in four previous SIs, two in Geosciences and one in Fractal and Fractional. He is an Associate Editor in Frontiers in Public Health
