Dr. Ludovico Muzii received his MD degree cum laude in 1988 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1992. He achieved a Ph.D. Degree in Obstetrical and Gynecologic Sciences in 1997. He is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He is the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Sapienza University. He is the Director of the Reproductive Medicine Unit and the Gynecological Surgery and Oncology Unit at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome. His main fields of interest are endometriosis, reproductive medicine, assisted reproductive techniques, endoscopy, and gynecological oncology. He is an editor and reviewer in many peer-reviewed journals. He has been awarded several scientific prizes, among which are the Golden Hysteroscope Award, AAGL 2011, the Carlo Romanini Award for Best Endometriosis Paper, AAGL 2005, and the Kurt Semm Award for Excellence in Pelviscopy, AAGL 2003.
